From today, 29th October, Dailymotion will exclusively broadcast two of the world’s biggest international eSport competitions – the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) and the ASUS RoG Tournament.

The deal will bring these competitions, played live at Paris Games Week, which opens today (29th October), to millions of fans around the world.

ESWC is the largest and most professional video games competition in the world. The finals will run from October 30th to November 3rd, all of which will be live streamed on Dailymotion. Last year’s finals were a highlight of Paris Games Week and attracted two million online viewers worldwide

ASUS RoG is the first official tournament of League of Legends, a multiplayer battle game and the most played PC online game in the world.  The best players of the best teams in the world are expected in Paris and will be fighting for the grand final on November 3rd. The entire competition will be streamed and commentated on Dailymotion.

Dailymotion is an official partner of the event and the exclusive partner for live streaming online. As well as helping global fans access the competition, Dailymotion is also supporting the players – the stars of the show – by sponsoring the afterparty.

Marc Eychenne, Head of International Content at Dailymotion, says: “eSports are becoming more professional with established international competitions, commentary and coaching. The big tournaments are attracting huge audiences – both at live events and online – and the players are becoming celebrities in their own right. This is a really exciting area and Dailymotion is committed to providing a platform to give fans access to these competitions.”

“Broadcasting the ESWC and the ASUS RoG Tournament is really exciting for us. We’ve been supporting eSports since 2009, but it is only the beginning of what we plan to do in this arena. Fans should watch this space, we’ll be at the major video games events in 2014 and we’ll have some exciting eSports news for Dailymotion viewers soon.”

This exclusive deal marks an important step forward in Dailymotion’s commitment to broadcasting video game competitions. The site already hosts several million videos on its video games channels which attract 110 million video views per month. Big plans are in the pipeline for much more in 2014.
